Job Overview:

Muñoz Engineering and Land Surveying, DPC is seeking a Construction Inspector to fill a position for NYC DOT rehabilitation projects within the boroughs of Manhattan (primarily), Brooklyn and Staten Island.

We are a multi-discipline engineering, design, land surveying and construction inspection firm with four decades of experience serving New York and New Jersey. Muñoz Engineering is certified with all local public agencies and is licensed to practice engineering and land surveying services. We have extensive experience working with clients in the public and private sector on all types of projects providing Engineering design, Surveying, and Resident Engineering and Inspection Services.

Below are the qualifications for this position.

Qualifications:

· NICET- II/III or Equivalent ASCE Engineering Degree Grades.

· Experience in the rehabilitation of bridge components is necessary.

· Experience in dealing with state and local agencies in New York on projects dealing with construction or repair of highways, bridges, tunnels, other structures.

· Knowledge of Work Zone Traffic Control with preferred ATSSA or equivalent certification.

· Minimum OSHA 10 requirement and experience with protective shielding experience.

· Work may include off hours and overnights/weekends if/when required.

· Proficient in reading and interpretating plans and specifications.

· Ability to maintain field records and perform quantity computations.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Collaborate with multiple team members.

· Physical ability and coordination to safely maneuver around construction sites.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
